Amitofo Care Centre is a not-for-profit organization established in 2004 on the idea that every person should be able to access the education and opportunities necessary to ensure a better future.
With this as our inspiration and goal, we build boarding school campuses across African nations for the betterment of some of the most vulnerable people in the world. Through this, we have established an ecosystem to provide a safe space for children, and the poverty of the world around them by nourishing their minds and bodies and giving them a place to gain skills for the future. It’s our objective to ensure that these people get the care and attention that they deserve.

ACC Australia does more than just provide immediate help to those at risk. We find value in creating and implementing important long-term goals that help communities develop the tools and skills necessary to thrive independently.
In addition to important basic necessities like nutritious food, clean water, effective sanitation, and shelter, ACC Australia helps to provide at-risk children with options intended to help them succeed wherever possible by nurturing their talents and natural capabilities and helping them see the future capabilities they could achieve. The robust curriculum of our boarding schools provides a local syllabus and physical education alongside the teaching of English and Mandarin to allow students to readily embrace a globalized world.
It is an unfortunate fact that children regularly exposed to war and oppression are trapped in the cycle of poverty. ACC Australia works to break this cycle, empowering vulnerable children across different African nations.
To achieve this, our boarding schools are in a constant state of development to ensure they are always providing the very best education possible. This way, children are afforded the best possible chance to succeed and can go on to help those around them succeed as well. To make this process even simpler, we incorporate the first six Sustainable Development Goals developed by the United Nations to strengthen our strategies even further.
It’s important to note that ACC Australia is 70 percent funded by individual private donors – our team members have committed volunteers.
